Mia Borders
Mia Borders - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

Kyle Sclafani - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Mía Borders began as a teenage singer-songwriter recording original material on her computer with only an acoustic guitar. While few teenagers can sing about life, love, and loss and make listeners believe it, she proved herself to be quite an exception. With lyrics so personal, so mature, and so direct, she established herself as an artist to watch. Her music since her first self-released album, “Good Things (2005)” has undeniably grown by leaps and bounds.
In early 2006, Mía joined Pablo Gonzalez (bass), Nick Hingel (drums), and Kyle Sclafani (lead guitar, vocals) to form the Funk-Rock & Soul group, MNSKP (“em-en-es-kuh-pee”). “New Orleans’ hottest buzz band” quickly took New Orleans’ local music scene by storm with their high-energy live shows and unique musical sound.
The group’s first EP, succinctly entitled “the ep,” was released in January of 2007 and is still available from all major digital music stores along with their first studio release (a prequel to their upcoming full-length album), “The Nashville Cuts (2008).”
In September of 2008, the group traveled to Nashville to finish recording their upcoming full-length studio release with producer William Smith. The album, “Southern Fried Soul” will be available soon.
